چکیده

We show a certain kind of non-local operations can be simulated by sampling set local with quasi-probability distribution when the task quantum circuit is to evaluate an expectation value observables. Utilizing result, we describe strategy decompose two-qubit gate sequence single-qubit operations. Required are projective measurement qubit in Pauli basis, and $\pi/2$ rotation around x, y, z axes. The required number get target observable within error $\epsilon$ roughly $O(9^k/\epsilon^2)$, where $k$ "cuts" performed. proposed technique enables perform "virtual" gates between distant pair qubits, there no direct interaction thus swap inevitable otherwise. It also utilized improve simulation large computer small-sized device, which idea put forward [Peng, et al., arXiv:1904.00102]. This work enhance connectivity qubits on near-term, noisy computers.

Coherence stabilization of a two-qubit gate by ac fields.

We consider a CNOT gate operation under the influence of quantum bit-flip noise and demonstrate that ac fields can change the qubit Hamiltonian in such a way that it approximately commutes with the bath coupling. Then the noise effectively acts as phase noise which improves coherence up to several orders of magnitude while the gate operation time remains unchanged. Within a high-frequency appro...

Minimum construction of two-qubit quantum operations.

Optimal construction of quantum operations is a fundamental problem in the realization of quantum computation. We here introduce a newly discovered quantum gate, B, that can implement any arbitrary two-qubit quantum operation with minimal number of both two- and single-qubit gates. We show this by giving an analytic circuit that implements a generic nonlocal two-qubit operation from just two ap...

Optimal Realization of a General Two-Qubit Quantum Gate

Since almost all quantum algorithms are represented in the quantum circuit model, the problem of finding a universal set of quantum gates is one the main problems in constructing quantum computers and implementing quantum algorithms. While it is rather easy to find a universal quantum basis, finding basis that satisfies some restrictions, due to implementation requirements, is far more challeng...
